Notice is hereby given that the Town Council of the Town of Wytheville, Virginia, will conduct a public hearing, pursuant to §15.2-2101 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, and will receive bids to obtain a non-exclusive franchise, privilege, lease or right for an electric light, heat, and power transmission and distribution system that is proposed to be granted at its regular meeting to be held on Monday, iMay 13, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, in the Council Chambers, 150 East Monroe Street, Wytheville, Virginia. The Town of Wytheville invites bids to be submitted in writing and delivered to Brian Freeman, Town Manager, by May 13, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. to be opened during the Town Council's regular meeting. The Town Council shall have the right to reject any and all bids.

A sample of a proposed Franchise Agreement is available for inspection in the Office of the Town Clerk, 150 East Monroe Street, during regular office hours of Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except for legal holidays. The Town of Wytheville is seeking sealed bids from qualified firms to perform pavement marking operations on the Town of Wytheville public streets. Sealed bids will be received at the Assistant Town Manager’s Office located at the Town of Wytheville Municipal Building, 150 East Monroe Street, Wytheville, VA 24382, until 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024.
